Through the work of stakeholders from across the aviation biofuel value chain, MASBI is focusing on the development of a comprehensive feasibility study and actionable roadmap to accelerate the development and commercialization of the Midwest advanced biofuels industry. Stakeholders will evaluate Midwest feedstock options, advanced biofuel technologies, commercialization requirements, logistics and infrastructure needs, and economic development policy measures.
Following the first phase of the initiative, MASBI seeks to become a consortium of committed collaborators that work to execute on the recommendations of the study. These organizations will work to pursue funding opportunities, engage in policy advocacy, launch pilot projects, and support promising emerging technologies and biofuel businesses.
